2011 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque – Detail

Here Car Showp will present a new image and a more complete specification of the post Land Rover Range Rover Evoque earlier. The all-new Land Rover Range Rover Evoque makes its global public debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

Evoque is called a “cross-coupé”, and is kind of like the new-urban spiritual successor to the old 3-door Range Rover with the “low carbon” front-wheel drive.

Interior, coated in leather with “twin needle” stitching – houses the expected Terrain Response system, a Jag-inspired transmission knob, and all the cell/MP3 connectivity you’ll ever need. At the dashboard also gets an optional dual-view 8-inch screen. Audio from your iPod will be routed through a 17-speaker Meridian system and backed by 825 watts, while above the seating area is a glass panoramic roof.

2011 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque powered by a series of gasoline and diesel turbo engines that incorporate start/stop tech, while the Evoque also stays a little greener thanks to electronic power-assisted steering (which is considered a low-CO2 system). The four-cylinder turbodiesels are based on a 2.2-liter unit and provide either 150 or 190 horsepower.

Some of the choices offered include: the FWD 150-horse diesel earns you the most green points with an estimated fuel economy of 58 mpg Imperial (48.3mpg US or 4.9lt/100km) and under 130 grams of CO2 per kilometer of emissions (the 4X4 low-output diesel comes in at a still impressive 50 mpg (41.6mpg US or 5.6lt/100km) and under 145 g CO2 / km).

While if you’re looking to burn gasoline and have a closer power-to-torque ratio, go with the 2.0-liter Si4 engine. Using direct injection, turbocharging, and variable valve timing. Land Rover “tuned the Range Rover Evoque’s chassis and Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS) to deliver precise and responsive steering at lower speeds, making the car nimble and fun to drive.”

2011 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque will come in three flavors from the get-go: 1) “Pure” (aka Base), which provides the car, soft-touch materials, and aluminum trim; 2) “Prestige” (aka Luxury), which adds 19-inch wheels and a lot of leather; and 3) “Dynamic” (aka Sport-Lux), which adds 20-inch wheels, unique exterior styling (bumpers, grille, spoilers with contrasting colors, etc.) and sports seats. There will also be a hybrid in the future, so expect this little guy to get even greener.

2011 Startech Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition

Brabus again, this time Startech chose Essen Motor Show to present maritime themes take on Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition. Finished in a bright white color, this car rolls on 16-inch alloys wrapped around in wider tires measuring 267/75 R16.

Brabus affiliate Startech complementing the 4×4′s looks are new running boards with integrated entrance lights that are activated via the keyless fob or by opening one of the doors, an SVX grille and body-colored headlight covers.

The interior appointments of Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition includes a sport steering wheel, aluminum pedals and high-end infotainment system round up. In addition, The crew of Startech’s Defender are greeted by a yacht-like wood flooring and navy-blue leather with contrasting white stitching covering with the doors, dashboard, center console and Recaro sport seats. In addition, the shells of the seatbacks are painted white to match the exterior while the headliner is made from Alcantara finished in navy-blue.

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 5-Door

At the 2010 LA Auto Show on November 17, 2010, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 5-Door version makes its global public debut. It r joins the stunning coupé model to create a highly desirable line-up that will transform the premium compact SUV segment.

The launch of the Evoque in 2011 will expand and revitalise the global appeal of the Range Rover marque. This new 5-Door bodystyle will offer customers even more choice, greater practicality, versatility and flexibility. The Evoque is positioned as the smallest, lightest, most fuel-efficient Range Rover ever.

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 5-Door features lightweight construction techniques and offers the choice of a front-wheel drive variant. A new range of state-of-the-art petrol and diesel engines comes with direct injection and stop-start. The Range Rover Evoque also adopts low CO2 systems such as Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS) and is built to maximise end of life recyclability.

It’s based of the LRX concept car design, combining the dramatic stance and dynamic appeal of the original cross-coupé with the enhanced functionality offered by a 5-Door format. Muscular shoulder running the length of the car, and the distinctive taper to the floating roofline. With a slightly higher rear roof, the finished vehicle offers impressive levels of space and versatility whilst retaining the overall essence.

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 5-Door follows the coupé model by offering customers the choice of three main vehicle design themes, each with its own distinctive character, exterior treatment and carefully co-ordinated interior package.

In interior, customers can specify soft, premium leather and beautifully tailored, twin-needle stitching providing a luxurious finish to almost every surface of the instrument panel, doors and seats. The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 5-Door adds further space and versatility to the luxurious cabin. Rear seat passengers benefit from over 50mm more shoulder room, along with generous headroom which compares very favourably to traditional sporting saloons.

Also added a full-sized glass panoramic roof enhances the sensation of space and comfort by flooding the interior with natural light. Provide the versatility and luggage space of a compact station wagon.

About powertrain, customers can choose between two comprehensively updated 2.2-litre turbodiesel derivatives, with 190PS or 150PS. In the 5-Door model, the front-wheel drive Range Rover Evoque with the 150PS 2.2-litre engine achieves sub 135g/km CO2.

A new 240PS, 2.0-litre Si4 petrol engine combines direct fuel injection, turbocharging and twin variable valve timing for exceptional driveability and fuel efficiency. By combined state-of-the-art powertrains with a lightweight bodyshell and a range of low-carbon technologies to deliver fuel efficiency which is outstanding for a premium SUV.

Both will be manufactured at Land Rover’s multi award-winning Halewood plant in Merseyside, UK. The car will go on sale in more than 160 markets worldwide from summer 2011. Prices will start from £30,000 / 35,000 EUR.

2011 Land Rover Discovery 4 Armoured

Land Rover Discovery 4 Armoured offers the same legendary all-terrain capability and state-of-the-art protection, but features an upgraded specification to deliver superior levels of performance, luxury and style.

Land Rover Discovery 4 Armoured features ballistic steel armour and glazing which provides ballistic protection in accordance with European standards BS EN1522 level FB6 and BS EN 1063 level BR6 respectively.

Developed in partnership with the vehicle armouring specialists Centigon, it also provides blast protection against 15kg TNT (or equivalent) detonated in close proximity to the vehicle and under floor protection against two DM51 hand grenades. The protection offered was certified by QinetiQ®, a globally recognised independent blast and ballistic testing organisation.

Comprehensive engineering changes have been made to the base vehicle to ensure that it maintains optimum ride and handling on all surfaces, despite the additional mass of the armour. The engineers have also enhanced the passive Safety Systems in the new Land Rover Discovery 4 Armoured, with driver’s steering wheel and passenger fascia dual-stage airbag restraint systems.

The Land Rover Discovery 4 Armoured is equipped with the new 375PS. 5.0-litre LR-V8 direct-injection petrol engine, replacing the 2.7-litre V6 turbo-diesel used in the previous model. And Teamed with a responsive six-speed automatic transmission, this refined and powerful new engine offers significantly faster acceleration, with 0-100km/h (62mph) achieved in just 10.6 seconds.

Interior in Land Rover Discovery 4 Armoured is both functional and extremely comfortable, providing a commanding elevated driving position and a flexible seating layout for up to five people. The practicality of the vehicle is significantly enhanced by the generous 500kg payload allowance. 2012 Range Rover Evoque Clauster Gauge

The new Rover comes powered by a 5.7 liter V8 super charged engine that can produce up to 510 horse power and also has the standard 3.0 liter V6 engine. When LandRover ended its Series III line of 4WD off road SUVs in 1983, it did just that with the introduction of the Land Rover 90 3-door model and 110 5-door station wagon models based on wheelbase lengths.

2011 The Land Rover Defender

The iconic British marque Land Rover sports the familiar profile that has been in the minds of the general public since it started in 1948. For about 37 years, they went through minimal styling changes from its Series I through Series III and never really ended with the last Series III rolling of the Solihull factory in 1985.

Cruising its way to the Essen Motor Show floors, is the sea-flavored Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition, created by Brabus affiliate Startech. And while it ain't an amphibious off-roader, this Defender takes its styling inspiration from -you guessed it- maritime themes.
